Kombat convened an official Kun Khmer technical meeting via Zoom on March 29, 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the global development and professional integration of Kun Khmer within the Kombat platform.
The meeting featured Vice President of the Kun Khmer International Federation Mr. Srab Sroeuy, who led the session and provided official technical guidance. Also in attendance were President of Kombat Mr. Rick W. Shin, Kombat Referee Chairman Mr. Marcelo Rezende, Kombat Event Chairman Mr. Chuong Pham, and representatives from Uruguay and Brazil.
The session served as a dedicated technical forum focused on the official introduction of Kombat Kun Khmer. Mr. Sroeuy welcomed all questions and delivered detailed explanations on rules, refereeing standards, and all technical aspects of Kun Khmer competition. He emphasized the importance of preserving the authenticity and integrity of Kun Khmer, while expressing full support for its international growth.
Kombat confirmed that Brazil will be the first country to debut Kun Khmer under the Kombat platform, marking a significant milestone in bringing one of the world's oldest striking arts to the professional global stage. The debut will take place at the Kombat Challenge Series – Brazil Edition on June 5, 2026, which will also feature the official debut of Kombat Jiu Jitsu, alongside Kombat Taekwondo.
