Kombat has officially announced the launch of its Continental Title Belt Championships, marking a major expansion of its global competition structure and reinforcing its position as the world's largest professional Taekwondo league.
The newly established Continental Title Belts will be contested across five major regions: Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and Pan America. As the Kombat family continues to grow worldwide, the organization introduced Continental Title Belt bouts to recognize fighters and provide greater opportunities to compete and advance on the global stage.
Each Continental Title Belt division will feature competition among the Top 8 ranked athletes within their respective regions, based on official Kombat Rankings. Continental Championships will serve as key qualification pathways toward the Kombat World Title Belt, providing fighters with clear, merit-based progression to the highest level of competition.
The introduction of Continental Title Belt Championships expands opportunities for Kombat fighters while driving increased spectator engagement, strengthening event organizers, and contributing to sports tourism growth across host countries.
All Continental Title Belt matchups will be approved exclusively by the Kombat Corporate Office, ensuring fairness, competitive integrity, and alignment with global standards.
The inaugural Continental Title Belt bout, featuring the Pan American Title Belt, will take place on June 5, 2026, in São Paulo, Brazil, as part of the Kombat Challenge Series.
Rick W. Shin, President of Kombat, stated the Continental Title Belt marks a major milestone, creating a true pathway from regional dominance to world championship level where top fighters earn their place through performance and competition.
